Человечество всегда было связано с водой. Реки, озера, моря, океаны не только давали нам жизнь, но и постоянно вызывали метафизический интерес людей, порождая бесчисленные мифы и легенды. Потому водоемы оставались предметом внимания не только гидрологов, но и представителей гуманитарных дисциплин.Попыткой именно такого анализа реки является рецензируемый сборник под редакцией Мариетты Бозович (Marijeta Bozovic) из Йельского университета и Мэтью Миллера (Matthew D. Miller) – из Колгейтского.
