Abstract

В книге «Что не так с бедными? Психиатрия, раса и “война с бедностью”» Микал Рац обращается к короткой, но яркой истории понятия «культурная депривация», появившегося в США на пересечении нескольких дисциплин и параллельно с началом «войны с бедностью», провозглашенной президентом Линдоном Джонсоном в 1964 году. Основные сюжеты исследования связаны с новым пониманием «бедных», подразумевающим заботу о психическом здоровье и развитии, в то время как категория бедных со временем все очевиднее очерчивалась расовыми границами и медикализировалась.
