Abstract

В отечественной литературе тема этнических конфликтов в Российской Федерации была в центре внимания ученых в 1990-е и начале 2000-х годов. С тех пор она несколько сместилась к периферии, но вот молодая американская исследовательница из Колумбийского университета Элиз Джулиано решила напомнить о ее значимости. Джулиано ставит интригующий вопрос – почему в одних случаях этнический национализм обретает популярность, а в других оставляет людей равнодушными.
