Abstract

Может ли Россия модернизироваться? Книга, посвященная такому животрепещущему вопросу, просто не может не оказаться увлекательной для российской аудитории. Не интригуя читателя до последнего абзаца, как это делает сама автор, признаем сразу: однозначного ответа на поставленный вопрос книга не дает. Алёна Леденёва, известный социолог (Университетский колледж Лондона) и автор работ о блате и неформальных практиках управления в России (Ledeneva 1998, 2006), в своей новой книге описывает особую систему институтов, которую она считает центральной для политического и экономического устройства страны и которая является отличительной чертой России по сравнению с остальным миром.
