Abstract

Даже аспиранты, подающие заявки на финансирование своих диссертационных исследований по социальным наукам в Национальный научный фонд США (National Science Foundation, NSF), должны написать несколько параграфов об общественной и прикладной значимости планируемых проектов. Обосновать свой проект только значимостью для развития дисциплины – недостаточно. Это требование выросло из сложной социальной и политической истории фонда – основного источника финансирования социальных исследований в США.
